Inlaid the MOP in my banjo, ready for engraving, glued up Steve's Cherry neck ready for working on next week and also got Graham's Cherry neck to the same stage ready to work on next month with Gary's mountain banjo. I'll be continuing on Dan's Walnut banjo next week and hopefully get it ready for oiling by next Friday. Time to crack open a beer and watch some 'Hap & Leonard!
Been back in the workshop this week after spending some time with the family over the Easter holidays. Tony's banjo should be complete next week, I've been gradually stretching the skin for the last week and just applied the first coat of oil to the neck, the deep red colour of the dyed Maple neck will look great with dyed black Maple rim and Brass hardware. Really looking forward to finishing this one and hopefully starting on Tony's 5th 'Ballard' banjo soon ;) Inlaid the MOP in my banjo, ready for engraving, glued up Steve's Cherry neck ready for working on next week and also got Graham's Cherry neck to the same stage ready to work on next month with Gary's mountain banjo.
