Been bustin' my nuts the last few weeks with bridge orders, re-frets and general set-up work but the end is finally in sight with Tony's banjo and it's looking good. Just waiting on some Brass nuts to arrive for the tailpiece bolt then hopefully stringing it up early next week before shutting down the shop and stuffing into some sausage rolls! I'll post better photos and a video next week. Specs for this banjo are: 11" Maple bent rim with 2 layer block bracket flange, Calf skin head, 2-piece Maple neck, Sonokeling Rosewood fingerboard, peghead overlay and tailpiece. It will be strung with nylon 'Minstrel' strings First thing January I'll carry on where I left off with Richard's banjo. Merry Christmas to all my customers, hope you have a great 2018! |
