Got all the pegheads shaped and drilled this week, just need to cut out the slot heads. Also managed to turn down the outside of the rims and started to glue on rim caps. Dale's in the middle photo with an Ebony cap and tone ring, ready to be shaped and the inside turned, Andrew's is glued and drying overnight.
Next week will be spent finishing rims, heel cutting, scooping and fretting, I aim to have Dale's ready for oiling by the end of the week!
The neck on the right of the group photo is going to be a new one for myself, it's getting quite embarrassing showing customers my battered old 'prototype' banjo that has been pulled apart and put back together so many times.  
I had intended to make  one last year as a 40th birthday present to myself but time didn't permit so this year I'm determined. It will be a Walnut 12" rim, 25.5" scale, slotted peghead, the tone ring will be something I haven't tried yet and i plan on doing some cool inlay on the peghead. Hopefully it will be finished by Summer, depending on how well I get on with commissions.
