Bargain fretless 'for sale'

I've been trying to clear the workshop before I get engrossed in building the next batch of Walnut banjos and have just finished the 'bargain banjer' mentioned in an earlier post.
Full spec and price can be found on the 'for sale' page, I'll be uploading a sound file and video shortly.
The pot assembly is exactly the same as the other 12" open back which is currently for sale.
The 'flush fret' fretless should be ready next week, I've just started applying the finish!

Mark Twain quotes

Some quotes from the late, great Mark Twain!
“A gentleman is someone who knows how to play the banjo and doesn't.”
"The piano may do for love-sick girls who lace themselves to skeletons, and lunch on chalk, pickles and slate pencils. But give me the banjo. Gottschalk compared to Sam Pride or Charley Rhoades, is as a Dashaway cocktail to a hot whisky punch. When you want genuine music -- music that will come right home to you like a bad quarter, suffuse your system like strychnine whisky, go right through you like Brandreth's pills, ramify your whole constitution like the measles, and break out on your hide like the pin-feather pimples on a picked goose, -- when you want all this, just smash your piano, and invoke the glory-beaming banjo!"

Just finished the custom Cherry open back with brass hardware.
After trying different heads I settled on an original Elite (fyberskin) which produced a lovely tone on this particular banjo. There will be more photos posted in a few days once they are processed by my kind brother (photographer)  www.cheballard.com
Several people wanted to hear a sound sample so I recorded a few quick tunes last night. This banjo goes off to it's new owner next week so I'm going to enjoy giving it a real good test run!
