Finished these two banjos this week, both sound great, which goes to show that you don't necessarily need an elaborate metal tone ring! 
The Mahogany short scale is a 'stock' banjo and available to purchase, ideal for playing A and double D tunes, with plenty of poke for sessions. 

Please keep an eye out for this banjo, if it turns up anywhere then it is stolen!
​UPS, the incompetent c**ts, managed to lose this banjo and are being completely unhelpful, lying f***ers, and their tracking is an utter sham.
It was being delivered within the UK, and disappeared somewhere between Norwich and Liverpool, it was collected by UPS on the 17th of October.

Just completed these very similar Walnut banjos. I'm still waiting for the customer to decide on the head for #188, in the meantime I thought I would install a Fibreskyn head, and be able to compare it side by side with a Renaissance.
